Fabulous Colourful Wedding at Willow Grange Farm.
Fiona & Ed ’s Wonderful Wedding at Willow Grange Farm in Cambridge.
To kick off 2022, I was fortunate enough to return to one of my favourite wedding venues in Cambridge for a fantastic wedding at Willow Grange Farm.
Willow Grange Farm is an awesome, alternative, rustic wedding venue located a short drive from my Cambridgeshire home in Ely and just few miles north of Cambridge on the A10.
The Wedding.
I first met this lovely Cambridgeshire couple for a coffee a year before their wedding day and we instantly hit it off, with a mutual love of the venue’s relaxed feel and a focus on the wedding day being all about joy and fun.
On the day of the wedding itself, I began by joining the bridal party in one of the farm’s Shepherds Huts where the couple were spending the nights both before, and after the wedding. The Shepherd’s huts provide a glamping style experience on the site and are perfect for spending a few relaxed hours for bridal preparations with views over the local landscape and a feeling of bringing the outdoors inside.
The ceremony took place in the beautifully renovated Silo Barn. Another aspect of the venue which offers a genuine alternative to the other venues in the area. The spacious interior is decked out in reclaimed timber and adorned with in fairy lights. When paired up with beautiful flowers such as those provided on the day by “Wild Rosamund“, it really does make for a unique and memorable place to tie the knot.
After the legal proceedings, the wedding guests mingled on the farm’s open spaces in the Spring sunshine whilst enjoying the sounds of The Sax Walker with glasses of fizz and canopees.
The Wedding Breakfast and speeches took place in the venue’s spacious Sperry tent, which is simply fantastic. The Sperry is full of light and character and has plenty room for everyone to relax and enjoy their meal, unlike some of the dark and cramped rooms that many venues have to offer, particularly, it has to be said in Cambridge.
Evening entertainment was provided courtesy of “Sega Boombox” a 90’s covers band who went down an absolute storm to say the very least, I have rarely been at a wedding where the dance floor was packed solid from start to finish. Wedding guests are definitely partying harder in these post Covid times.

Hosting a Wedding at Willow Grange Farm.
I am a Cambridge Wedding Photographer with a love of the non traditional, leftfield and quirky so a Wedding at Willow Grange farm is a perfect fit for my style and approach. It’s an awesome rustic wedding venue that has been beautifully renovated, has incredible nooks and crannies for interesting photo backdrops and the staff are always a joy to work with. The light in the summer evenings is gorgeous and everything about it oozes charm. The venue also share my values on sustainability which I talk about in my blog post on How To have An Eco Friendly Wedding.
