Elegant & Timeless Wedding at Longstowe Hall

Beautiful summer wedding at Longstowe Hall near Cambridge.

I have been fortunate enough to shoot a wedding at Longstowe Hall on a couple of occasions and it never fails to impress as a premium Wedding venue in the local area.

For this Cambridge Wedding we began the proceedings at Bride Charlie’s parents home. Charlie’s parents live on the outskirts of the City at short drive from the village of Bourn where Charlie grew up, it was therefore, the obvious choice to get married in the local village church. It was a glorious, sunny August day and guest were full of smiles as the happy newlyweds were showered in confetti on leaving the local church to head over to the reception a Longtsowe Hall.

Wedding reception at Longstowe Hall

It took only five minutes to drive from the village church in Bourn to the reception of the Wedding at Longstowe Hall. Longstowe Hall is a privately owned estate that is as beautiful and elegant in appearance, as it is professional in it’s functionality. The Cambridgehire wedding venue is steeped in history and is simply a fabulous setting for weddings. The hall is surrounded by glorious gardens and with beautiful herbaceous borders down to the lake, it hosts stunning views and a grand backdrop of the house among the sizeable grounds with both wooded areas and courtyard features making it exceptional for capturing couple Wedding portraits.

For the Wedding breakfast, the permanent marquee is full of light and beautiful adorned in tasteful fixtures and fittings. The black and white chequered dance floor is perfectly positioned in one corned with ample room for live musicians and the bar within easy reach means guests aren’t taken away from the dance floor for any longer than is need to grab a drink before returning straight  back to the celebrations.

Information on Weddings at Longstowe Hall.

Charlie & James were married at the nearby village church in Bourn and had there reception at Longstowe Hall, however the venue is also a perfect choice for the whole day’s celebrations. The venue is fantastic for hosting a ceremony as well as the reception. There is a private cottage on site which caters for all the bridal preparations and the ceremony can be hosted either outside or inside depending on the weather,
