A Wonderfully Warm Summer Wedding in Cambridge.

The idyllic surroundings of Trinity Hall College in Cambridge provided the perfect backdrop for a warm and sunny July wedding day. With the picturesque grounds and historic architecture, this wedding was a dream come true for the bride and groom, and an absolute delight for me as a local Cambridge wedding photographer.

The Bridal Prep: A Room with a View

The day began in one of the college bedrooms where the bridal party gathered for final touches. With the sun casting a gentle glow through the window panes, we had the opportunity to capture some truly heartwarming moments as the bride prepared to walk down the aisle.

The Ceremony: A Love Story in The Graham Storey Room

The heart of the day was undoubtedly the ceremony, held in the intimate and elegant Graham Storey Room. The room exuded history and romance, setting the stage for a beautiful exchange of vows. The atmosphere was filled with love, joy, and anticipation as the couple said “I do,” surrounded by their loved ones.

Grand Wedding Breakfast

Following the ceremony, the wedding party moved to the large dining hall with a Hogwarts vibe, making guests feel like they were stepping into the pages of a magical book. The wedding breakfast was a delightful affair, with sumptuous cuisine and heartfelt speeches that had everyone in stitches and tears.

Games on the Lawn

The sunny July weather allowed for some delightful outdoor activities in the college’s charming grounds. Guests enjoyed games on the lawn, from croquet to giant Jenga, creating an atmosphere of laughter and merriment.

Punting on the River Cam

No Summer wedding in Cambridge would be complete without punting! The bride and groom treated their guests to punting along the serene River Cam. Cambridge’s iconic activity provided a unique experience, with guests enjoying the scenery and creating lasting memories. The iconic Summer wedding in Cambridge!

One of the highlights of the day was when the photographer joined the bride and groom in a punt for some intimate couple shots. The picturesque backdrop of the college and the tranquil river made for a truly enchanting photo session that captured the essence of their love.

Summer Wedding in Cambridge | Evening Party: Music and Dance

As the sun began to set, the wedding party moved to the Aula Bar and Crescent Room. A solo singer/guitarist provided the soundtrack for the evening, serenading guests with beautiful melodies and setting the mood for a night of celebration. The night culminated in a rousing silent disco, where guests danced the night away under the stars.

The Trinity Hall College wedding was a day of love, laughter, and enchantment. The stunning setting, combined with the couple’s undeniable chemistry, made our job as wedding photographers a true pleasure. We’re grateful to have been a part of this special day, capturing the moments that will be cherished for a lifetime. Congratulations to the newlyweds, and thank you for allowing us to be part of your magical journey!

Trinity Hall College, nestled in the historic city of Cambridge, has a distinguished history that traces its origins back to its foundation in 1350. Established by Bishop William Bateman of Norwich, the college initially served as a monastic institution for the training of priests. Over the centuries, it underwent a transformation, evolving into a secular college while maintaining its strong ties to the Church.

Trinity Hall’s striking architecture, featuring charming courtyards and historic buildings, is a testament to its enduring legacy. Notable alumni have left an indelible mark on the world, including eminent jurists, scientists, and literary figures. The college’s esteemed legal tradition is particularly noteworthy, with alumni such as Lord Evershed and Lord Bingham making significant contributions to the field of law.

It’s hare not to feel inspired in the grounds amidst beautiful architecture, glorious gardens and a prime location on the famous river Cam where tourists gently pass by on punts.

Today, Trinity Hall College continues to be a thriving academic institution within the University of Cambridge. As a beacon of learning and tradition, Trinity Hall College remains a cherished part of Cambridge’s academic landscape. The venue, like many of the academic venues across the city of hire for events including Weddings.

The thing that makes Trinity Hall almost unique among the colleges however, is that it is open to anyone for hire and not just college alumini,.
