Alice & Stephen
As a Cambridge Wedding Photographer it’s always a dream for me when I get to shoot a Wedding in my home City and place of birth. Cambridge offers a visual feast for photographers. At anytime of day, all year round everywhere you go around the City you will see hundreds of tourists from all around the globe pointing there cameras at the beautiful historic buildings and streets of which there are many.
Trinity Hall College is one of many visually stunning historic colleges that form the University of Cambridge. It is set in beautiful grounds right in the hear of the City on the banks of the river Cam.
Today it was the venue for the Wedding of Alice & Stephen. Having had a glorious July and start to August it was inevitable that one day the rain would come. Today was that day, it did rain… a lot! Not that it was going to dampen the spirit of the day, in fact the rain played a key roles in getting some great reportage photography in Cambridge.
We began with some bridal prep shots at Alice’s home village of Fulbourn just outside Cambridge itself. From there we drove into the heart of Cambridge before a short walk (shown in my favourite shot of Alice being escorted by several helpers holding umbrellas). to the venue.
A small and intimate service was followed by a drinks reception accompanied by the extremely talented acoustic guitarist Andy Nash
After some emotional and hilarious speeches the sun finally broke through the clouds allowing us to explore the grounds and get some fantastic portraits in the stunning surroundings.
Kind words from the couple….
“We can’t thank you enough for the beautiful pictures you took of our wedding day. We absolutely love them! Our family and friends have all said how talented you are and how many lovely moments have been captured. We completely agree! Thank you so much!!” Alice & Stephen
