Cambridgeshire Barn Wedding.
Autumn is possibly my favourite season for Weddings, especially a barn wedding.
I love how the seasonal colours can both blend and contrast with the purity of the brides dress. I also love that you can catch some beautiful “Golden Hour” portraits late in the afternoon.
All of these things came together perfectly as Sophie & Dom’s travel themed Wedding at The Thatch Barn in Yelling, Cambridgeshire.
We kicked of at Sophie’s parents home in the village of Willingham for some bridal prep shots before heading over to the local church for the ceremony.
Guests were transported from the ceremony to the reception on a classic red double decker London bus while the bride and groom tagged along in a classic 1960’s blue Mini.
The couple have spent a lot of time traveling together and there were lots of things to celebrate this scattered around the beautiful barn location. Travel photos, trinkets and keepsakes along with travel related quotes.
The tables were all named after travel locations that they had visited together with the top table being named Indonesia the destination of their forthcoming honeymoon.
This wedding was a sheer joy to shoot and the first time I’ve been asked to take a selfie with the bride and groom as part of the collection!
Congratulations Sophie & Dom.
