Suffolk Wedding at Somerleyton Hall.
In the heart of the countryside on the boundaries of the Suffolk & Norfolk border where “A” roads are rare and 3G signals are even rarer lies the venue for this Suffolk wedding. Somerleyton Hall.
The venue is on an an occupied country estate and is a Tudor period mansion. The grand entrance is adorned with huge stuffed wildlife leading to truly grand staircase leading up to the accommodation above, including the bridal suite.
I joined Libby and all of her 5 sisters and some friends for the chaotic but fun preparations of the bridal party. Meanwhile, Stuart welcomed guests in the grand settings of the hall and gardens.
Guests were treated to a harpist before the ceremony which took place in a beautiful orangery.
As a warm summer’s day continued the guest played and chilled with drinks in the grounds before enjoying speeches and wedding breakfast.
The day was rounded off beautifully with dancing in the marquee joined to the orangery.
